2009

thank who ever you pray to its over.

bring on 2010. at long bloody last, a new decade is about to begin. a new era. a new dawn. the new dawn of an era. a different chapter. a different book as well if you like. its a fresh start is my point

don't get me wrong though, 2009 was great! ski trip, various additions to the family and friends that are woven around me in a beautiful tapestry and miscellaneous others. but 2010 is going to be better, much better. i can tell.

well everyone, a toast to the new year!

cheers!

Ah, feels good doesnt it?

So it's getting close to the end of another year and an academic one too. Less than six months of year 11. I know I'm tired and ready for a change, aren't you? I bet you are :)

So this song, I don't listen to it often and it just popped onto my media players shuffle list..I adore it right now, it makes me feel good and want to smile. Kind of summer-y too..the lyrics just sum up how I'm feeling right now. Go on, play it or find it on YouTube, listen to it and read the lyrics; you'll feel better about everything, I promise.

"Unwritten"

I am unwritten, can't read my mind, I'm undefined
I'm just beginning, the pen's in my hand, ending unplanned

Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find

Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten

Oh, oh, oh

I break tradition, sometimes my tries, are outside the lines
We've been conditioned to not make mistakes, but I can't live that way

Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find

Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins

Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten

Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find

Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins

Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten
The rest is still unwritten
The rest is still unwritten

Oh, yeah, yeah

My Bucket List.

She saw this on facebook; What do you want to do before you die? so i asked myself that same question. Here is what i came up with:

-sky dive
-swim with sharks
-learn to play the piano (hell, I'd be happy with just knowing how to play the funeral march)
-write a song or book
-learn to snowboard
-learn to ballroom dance or tango
-teach myself Korean
-spend Christmas on the beach eating turkey sandwich
-take lessons in pottery
-run through a forest in a stupidly feminine fairytale dress
-get a Great Dane and call it Baxter.
-jump into a pool wearing a designer gown with hair and make-up
-build a tree fort with all the accessories.
-get a tattoo
-learn CPR
-become a nuclear scientist
-learn to surf
-Slow dance in the middle of a crowded city street

to be continued :P

I believe i owe you an explanation...

I haven't posted anything interesting in a while due to:

1. Rain, heavy rain
2. Frequent medication
3. The cold, very cold.
4. Hibernation leaves me feeling drowsy.

5. Lack of creativity hence the need to have a word limit of 60 words

6. Discovery of man named Potato Head, but he lets me call him Spud. He and i, we talk for hours, of course we dint go beyond 60 words and he never replies. But we've found a connection and yes we might be in love. Don't ask about marriage plans yet, will alert reuters when i have to.

7. REPEAT POINT NO. 3. No grave situations happening lately, pretty much same ol same ol..hence going into my older posts is advised in order to get a better idea of whats up and whats down.

8. LAZINESS. Blame that beast for everything. If you can find him somewhere, BLUDGEON HIM and let him never return to me!!!!! I SAY NEVER!

9. Back to Potato head, he waits for me :)

a timid rainbow

A timid rainbow
falls from the sky in your eyes
so hesitantly

A Somnolent Heart

My somnolent heart
soaring in its drowsy dreams
drowned in your glances

gahhhh

I hate it I hate it I hate it!!!!

Why is it that when I have been working away, I'm tired and grouchy and just want to get back to the convent, something happens to make Operation Stack be put in place so I can't get back?

Grumps off to make a cup of tea.....

Wednesday, 2 December 2009

I was on the escalator some months ago when I overheard two girls discussing the escalating prices of things.

1st Girl: It was double the price.

2nd Girl: Not just double, maybe triple or even four-ple!

How's that for creativity?

though I'd share:)

The Obligatory Kit-Kat post.

Everyone seems to post about KitKat sooner or later, so I thought I'd get on in there.
It's so darn cold lately, I hate it. It's dry and my skin is angry. I live in a house, which of course doesn't have central heating, so my heating/electricity bills are astronomical yet it's always freezing in here. Wearing a sweater in the house in winter seems reasonable but a scarf, slippers, and a jacket does not. Dammit.

One slim ray of sunshine in this dark, cold period is the song that the kerosene truck plays. Last year it was always The Carpenters (that Every Sha-la-la-la song) but this year it seems to be song kind of nostalgic kindy tune, with kiddy voices. I like it.

im not asure what that has to do with kitkats, but i thought i'd let you know

oh! kitkat related! (bang! shock! horror!)

Damn, my chunky just got funky! ;)

Up, up and away?

Great news from Boeing today. The 787 passed a Static Wing Test, which means they bent it and it didn't break. That's always encouraging.

Dreams

oaky, so last night i had a dream, i'd LOVE to know the significance of dreams, i really would.

okay, so, dreaming away last night, as ya do..and Rob Pattinson appears in my apartment! very normal of course. so i'm all ''wth!'' he just shrugs and and says ''I'm your new flat buddy'' all well, he pays his rent on time etc.

he starts making moves(hes got them, trust me) then one day he comes into my garage where im fixing up my vintage car. he leans against the doorframe and ''would you like to have dinner with me?'' slips off his tongue. my response is irrational, unexplainable and a sin against..well, its just unforgivable and plain moronic.

''I'm a lesbian'' pops out of my mouth! WHAT THE HELL! WHAT THE BLOODY HELL?! AHHHH! I TURNED DOWN A DINNER DATE WITH ROBERT BLOODY PATTINSON! aaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!

can anyone explain?!
